Form and Function:
Expression of Truth/Beauty
This project examines the relationship of form and functions which has been a central theme in architecture since the enlightenment. The core issue is whether a building's form could truthfully express its function or should it be independent of its function through architectural design. In this case, we will be allowing for a function of a bridge with a span of 190' to take its own form. The purpose of this project is to create a bridge with an opening to allow for river traffic by using inspiration from a movable object

This table represents the possibilities that can be used to transform this bridge, by comparing it to different movable objects that will give off an idea of an entirely new design for a fictional bridge. This table will help rank each possibility that can develop the design.
